Capes, Capelets and Cloaks

Who would have ever considered Little Red Riding Hood a fashionable little girl? Normally I don't go for hooded capes but this Lambswool Lauren by Ralph Lauren Cape is très chic. For $150 at Macy*s online you can snag this cape and pair it with jeans and riding boots for a comfy day of shopping.

Here's a Capelet that can certainly take your look up a notch. Paired with a basic black dress (or almost any solid color frock), it adds a pop of color and frilly flair. Featured on lulusvintage.com, it's truly a one of kind piece.

Valentino does it big with this Cloak minus the Dracula "feel". In fact the Fall/Winter 2009/2010 collection included a variety of cloaks. This updated, fashionable version trimmed in fur is a "must-have" for those who are blessed with height and "long femurs" as one of my girlfriends likes to say.

If you're not into the cloak, the capelet and/or cape might be right up your alley. They're cute, they're fashionable and right on trend. There's something for everyone!
