Orange Rules

In honor of MS Awareness Week and because we are oh so looking forward to Spring, we have turned our style eye to all things orange! I thought we should start with Monique Lhuillier, who made a HUGE statement with these two looks from the Spring 2014 collection.

Christian Siriano keeps it red carpet ready...

...and Tommy Hilfiger shows us that "all orange everything" can truly be an everyday look.

Now, let's chat for a moment. What exactly do you know about MS? Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. This means, for some women who suffer with the disease, the ability to strut down a catwalk or unfortunately, even a sidewalk could become particularly difficult. However, studies of people living with multiple sclerosis have shown that exercise can help with fatigue and depression, it can improve strength, and result in increased participation in social activities. So I say, strut on sister! And why not do it in these fabulous Diane von Furstenberg heels?

I've personally learned quite a bit about MS over the past few years...that's what happens when someone very close to you is diagnosed with the disease. To that point, I would like to challenge all of my readers to donate to this years MS walk in North Carolina via Dannie's Dolls! She's already getting tons of coverage about her MS journey so naturally, it's our pleasure to show ours as well!

Because everything we do at StyleMayvin is centered around true style and to keep in line with the orange rules theme, we believe that the essence of a women is not in the clothes she wears but in her ability to live life to the fullest, no matter what circumstances she has been dealt. Now don't get me wrong, we love clothes. In fact, where we would we be without them? I'd say, naked. So, I think we would be remiss we failed to point out this level of fabulousness from the Joanna Mastroianni Spring 2014 collection. These looks made me fall in love with orange all over again.
