Over one thousand fashionistas and celebrities attend closing show of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NYC to support AIDS awareness and artistically inspired designers.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week ended on a high note with the Art Hearts Fashion show at Lincoln Center. One of the largest and most popular events of fashion week, this season’s Art Hearts Fashion fell on the 13th anniversary of September 11th. Appropriately enough the openingin presentation by Erik Rosete’s Mister Triple X Street-wear line started with the star spangled banner leading into an exciting and edgy show featuring a special tribute to 9/11 with war veteran and model Alex Minsky walking down the runway. Other celebrities walking for Mister Triple X included Dancing with the Stars Anna Demidova and fitness models Travis Tardiff and Brock Yurich. Mister Triple X truly did roll the dice in his appropriately entitled collection “Pair-A-Dice” and his gamble paid off. Bringing the first amputee to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway not only showed his strong spirit and support of the disabled but also a strong support of our troops and war veterans on this special day.
Control Sector followed opening with Albino model Shawn D. Ross and the evening continued in true spirit with lots of heart proving that beauty can take lots of shapes and forms. The crowd enjoyed the evening as could be seen by all the cheers and applause throughout the presentations. Following was a sleek and sophisticated collection by Hallie Sara, and a great mix of ethnic flair from designers Gregorio Sanchez, Shrekahnth, and Altaf Maaneshia.
MTCostello proved to be a show-stopper with glitter-monsters and cameos from ANTM Winner Jaslene Gonzales and a cameo by Sha’s of Sunset’s Lilly Ghalichi. The finale of the night was a fabulous presentation from designer Furne Amato who’s dressed every celebrity including Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, and Nicki Minaj to name a few.
This season’s Art Hearts Fashion NYC Edition was a true success and we are very excited for Art Hearts Fashion Los Angeles which will take place as the premier launch event for Fashion Week LA, bringing together an eclectic mix of top designers and artists over the course of 3 days of fashion and fun.
