Manhattan Vintage - EventSTYLE

Are you ready? Tomorrow is the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show! This is the number one vintage clothing event in the world and one of the top shopping events of the year, returns this month to the Metropolitan Pavilion.

For those who are new to Manhattan Vintage, the show brings together almost 100 of the best vintage dealers from the US and across the globe, offering everything from affordable vintage finds to museum quality vintage treasures. The show’s special exhibition will focus on Bonnie Cashin, considered one of America's most significant pioneers of designer sportswear. Cashin initiated the use of industrial hardware on clothing and accessories, most famously with the brass toggle she incorporated into her handbag designs for Coach. She is also credited with introducing the concept of layering to fashion and is remembered for the 'Cashin Look', comfortable country and travel clothes and accessories in wool jersey, knits, tweeds, canvas and leather. The exhibit will include items from Bonnie Cashin's archive, including pieces which have never been seen before, along with more widely recognized pieces.

Manhattan Vintage Show, which started in 1992, draws designers, stylists and celebrities from across the globe seeking inspiration. Recent attendees include Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Jean Paul Gaultier, Amanda Seyfried, Lynne Yaeger, Hamish Bowles and Alexa Chung.

Shoppers can browse a range of price points, from from $60 to $15,000, so there's something for every vintage lover's budget. Pieces range from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
Manhattan Vintage Show is located at The Metropolitan Pavilion, Friday, October 24th 1pm - 8pm and Saturday, October 25th 11am – 6pm
