Charlotte Olympia

I've been a fan of Charlotte Olympia since I was first introduced to them by singer/songwriter Estelle. It's one of her favorite brands and has quickly become one of mine as well. I'm thinking...making room for one of these styles in my closet should be a 2012 goal!

Dress Envy...or should I say "Gown Envy"?

Watched the Kennedy Center Honors for the first time ever and fell in love with this beautiful, billowing black gown by Theyskens' Theory (Fall 2011 Collection) worn by Sarah Jessica Parker. Even the hair is fabulous. Another huge win for SJP's style team! LOVE!!!

Skate Booties Anyone?

When I first saw these I thought they were really "interesting" and actually after looking them over and considering it a few more times, I'm convinced I could pull them off. I mean, you've gotta be super confident and ahead of the style game to even understand the trend quality behind them. Maybe too much for you but I'm a fan!

The Jeffrey Campbell Skate bootie is available at ($198)

In love with Giuseppe Zanotti

As all my readers know, I simply love shoes and these really needed to be sitting under my Christmas tree this year but somehow that didn't happen. So...although I do adore the gifts I did receive...I REALLY REALLY want these those!

When I went to Palm Springs earlier this year and stayed at the Viceroy resort, my room was all decked out in the color combo and I fell in love. Now along comes a shoe with the same fabulous look! I love it! How could you not?

Available at

Barbie's Makeover

So as soon as I saw this a few months ago, I feel in love with her but for the life of me, I haven't been able to find one! Can anyone out there help the StyleMayvin? I need this doll in my life!!!

Simply in love...

I've been a huge fan of Lesilla shoes for a few years and surprisingly was introduced to the brand by my husband who bought me a pair while on a business trip in Italy...yeah, he's a bit of a shoe guy and I love it! Mine are burgundy velvet knee boots with alligator trim and hardware...i mean, they really are awesome! Anyway, while perusing through the site today, I found three pair that I fell madly in love with so...I thought I would share! My Christmas wish? To be chosen as one of the official US spokesmodels for this brand! Lol. Seriously...I would loose my mind! Check out these styles and more at

An Extra $4200?

This is my question... Who's got an extra $4200 and feels like they wanna be super generous to me for Christmas?!? I know the price tag is a bit big but come on...that's what the season is all about...GIVING!

The house of Bottega Veneta has made my day with this Snap Button Front Gown #thatisall

VS Fashion Show 2011

I always enjoy the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and this year was no exception. Here's my favorite looks.

And of course...apparently forever more, no show will be complete without J and Ye who truly turned this into a mini segment. Not a single model on the glittery stage with them during the performance? Gotta love when rap and fashion a great way!

YES! There is a Santa!

Do you still believe in Santa Claus? I know I do. How else would I be expecting to wake up to lots and lots of wonderfully gift wrapped boxes of clothing, shoes and jewelry under my Christmas tree in this economy?

Seriously, the season isn't all about receiving — it's more about giving, and wouldn't you like to give in a major way that brings out the kid in you? Well, Macy's is calling on believers of all ages to help grant the wishes of local children as a part of the "Believe" campaign in support of area Make-A-Wish chapters.

From now until Christmas Eve, Macy's is encouraging children, teens and yes, even adults to write letters to Santa. If you're in Charlotte, NC, the letters can be dropped off in the Santa Mail letterbox at NorthLake and SouthPark Mall and for each letter received, Macy's will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish foundation up to $1 million. The money raised in Charlotte will support the Central and Western North Carolina chapter of Make-A-Wish ( and if you would really like to be one of Santa's Helpers, why not start a letter writing campaign in the office or with your child's classroom? Here's a few ideas for inspiration: I've already made my list, so get your pen and paper out and let the wishes flow!

AND...because you're a StyleMayvin fan and I'm in the spirit of giving too, I'm throwing in a $50 gift card to Macy's for one lucky reader! All you need to do to enter the drawing is "like" the StyleMayvin company page on Facebook and post "I still believe in Santa" or post the same message to me on Twitter @therealtstrong and you'll be entered to win $50 just in time to do a little more holiday shopping. Now tell me you love me! xoxo

Contest ends on Sunday 12/11/11 and the winner will be announced on 12/12/11.

Shop Small Saturday

Everyone has their favorite local businesses that they frequent but tomorrow, Saturday 11/26 is a very important day for all of us to "Shop Small". Have you been eyeing a fabulous new necklace, a beautiful pair of shoes, a holiday cocktail dress that fits just right? Well, here's your chance! And don't think showing support to your local stores and boutiques is all about fashion. Of course, that's my first love but tomorrow, decide to do something great for the guy selling flowers at the corner bodega, the lady who owns the local produce market...purchasing one item can make all the difference!

Although Black Friday is over, now is the time to...

See you out there!

Shoe Sale!

I love strolling through the local malls and boutiques because i can always find something I love. The other day i walked in to Saks Off Fifth at Concord Mills mall and to my surprise there was a fabulous shoes sale going on. I thought I would be nice and share the news and not keep all the haute-ness to myself. The sale will continue through Nov. 29. With all ladies shoes at 40 percent off so if you're in Charlotte, I would suggest getting there as soon as possible.

I also spotted the perfect pair of animal print shoes shoes by 5/48, which is actually one of the Saks brands. Animal print, especially leopard, is all the rage this season, so there's no way you can go wrong with these babies priced at $77.99.

Although I rarely wear my Ugg's other than to walk the pooch, I thought these were really cute! You can never go wrong with Jimmy Choo right? And the price really makes me smile...Originally $599, these are now $225.99 PLUS an additional 40% Off!

AMA's Red Carpet

Last night's AMA's were lack luster to say the least. I was expecting to see more big name celebs on the red carpet to fill my fashion cup but...I did really like Jenny McCartney wearing a plum Victoria Beckham dress. I loved everything about this look!

Then for maybe the first time ever, a guy made my top three best dressed! My number two pic... John Legend in head to toe Gucci.

Last is Jennifer Lopez in her award acceptance dress by Zuhair Murad. Love!

Sip-n-See Cherolet Cruze Part 2

I thoroughly enjoyed driving the Chevrolet Cruze (Charlene), so here's a look at my top 5 features...from the StyleMayvin point of view.

#1 I found a perfect space to store my Chanel sunglasses!  Honestly, this is a great thing for a fashionista who's always on the go and needs to keep her style in check while while.

#2 Of course a busy career woman like myself needs to be able to recharge my phone at a moments notice or plug it in and use as an mpg player.  The USB port, AUX and easy access phone charger outlet (formerly known as the cigarette lighter) enabled me to be sure I was always powered on and ready to go!

#3 Hands free is the rule in most states so having the ability to sync your phone via the Bluetooth application and speak to callers without having to worry about getting a ticket certainly comes in handy.

#4 With most compact cars, the location of the cup holders usually drives me insane!  Since there is limited space, automotive designers often put the cup holders in interesting, yet annoying locations.  The Cruze cup holders can be found on the side door panels which is perfect for storing an extra bottled water and provides easy access for back set passengers.  Loved it!

# 5 Last but not least...Trunk Space.  Again, many compact's cannot boast having a ton of truck space but the Cruze was perfect for me...especially for the Sip-n-See because I was able to carry around a case of Vitamin Water and a few other essentials.

Now...What about the Men?  Well, guys are an "interesting" breed because instead of checking out the interior first, they tend to go right for the engine.  See what I mean?  You can tell my neighbors love it when I get a new car to review right?  They'll be happy to know there's more to come!
