If you missed the movie in theatres, don't fret. "Valentino, The Last Emperor" is now available on DVD. This behind the scenes look at the world of Haute Couture fashion is witty, dramatic (in the true essence of fashion) and sometimes emotional. The film follows The Legendary Valentino through his final two years ending a nearly 50 year career in the industry and as almost no other can claim...at the top of his game the entire time. Valentino Garavani is "the" fashion icon!

Also new for fashion week...Saks NYC unveils it's new 3rd Floor with Charlize Theron. After nearly a year long renovation, we can all twirl around like Alice in Wonderland among 49 of the world's finest designer collections. Well...maybe you should exactly "twirl" in the store per se but I'm sure smiling excitedly would be acceptable.

Of course, in attendance - the great Anna Wintour and stylist Rachel Zoe among a myriad of other celebrity guests. For the opening Saks displayed 32, one of a kind cocktail dresses created exclusively for the launch by some of the most renowned designers in the industry such as Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Zac Posen, Dior and Oscar de la Renta. The much anticipated 50,000 square foot space is definitely a sight to see! Even the invitation was fabulous! Designed by Pentagram, the invite shows the floor's new brand identity, the number three, made from the names of the 49 designs. This is class at it's finest. Hats off to Saks NYC Flagship store. Doing it up in style as always!
