Everyday is Earth Day

On the heels of Earth Day, I want to remind you all that there are things we can do EVERYDAY to help protect Mother Earth. Fashionably speaking...keep your friends green with envy by sporting the latest, eco-friendly carryalls.

Not only reserved for carrying your produce from the local market, these trendy bags can also be the perfect gift for yourself or an equally fashionable, eco-conscious friend. Serving as an overnight bag or everyday satchel to store your books, bottled water, comfy flats, and snacks these classic carrier bags are at the top of my list. Kooba for Barney's Green collection ($245 - Barney's New York-above) and Beau Soiell's eco-tote (right- $59 available at are tres' chic.

Need a recessionisa option? I've got you covered on that too! Try Murval's "Once you go Green..." tote ($28 or how about another tote with a personal favorite "Nothing on me is Plastic" (See Below- $16 at WOW! Now that's making a statement!

With all these fabulous options, can you really imagine yourself not Going Green?

Jellies Anyone?

Each season there's a new and seemingly improved jelly shoe that emerges on the fashion scene. Most times, I find it impossible to improve this classic, but since it's a childhood favorite of mine (despite the sweaty soles) I just had to give Tod's a pat on the back for adding a fancy little tassel to dress them up a bit. Sheer genius and one of the cutest, simplistic styles I've seen for the summer season, this thong sandal is available at for $175 and comes in black, blue (shown) and transparent.

A future so BRIGHT...

...I gotta have these shades!

Louis Vuitton has done it again! While I'm also addicted to my current collection of Gucci, D&G, Chanel and Prada "eye wear", these wonderfully crafted LV frames make me tingle inside...just a little. Although I would never rid myself of the others because they're all mostly classic in nature and wearable in almost any season (imperative point when purchasing designer frames), the release of The Evidence frame reminiscent of the Millionaire model (created for Vuitton by Pharrell and Nigo in 2005) has my Style written all over it!

To all the LV fans and those who are soon to be fans, the sun has officially come out and spring seems to have finally sprung so get ready to whip out the UV protecting moisturizers and cover those retinas with one of the most coveted designer sunglasses of the Spring/Summer 2009 season!

Carried Away with Art

Now I don’t usually go for the “man-bag” but this one is truly a work of art. As a matter of fact, I’m a bit jealous! Who wouldn’t want a one of a kind unique tote of their own? Every woman I know would and now maybe some of the “fashionist-o” men will too.

The Gentlemen’s League has struck gold in the form of the beautiful, yet manly combination of custom mason totes and black indelible ink. All designs are hand drawn based on the pattern of your choice (the serpent is my favorite) and each includes secret detailing making it even more original, creative and artistic. The brainchild of an industrial designer, graphic artist and creative visionary, these lightweight, everyday carry-all bags are perfect for any guy who oozes style from head to toe.

If you think your man friend could appreciate the work of the Gentlemen’s League check out or hurry off to Mulberry Street and visit Debut New York. I wonder if it’s against the rules to be a female member of “The League”?

Spring is Blooming!

The new Monogram Roses Collection from Louis Vuitton, inspired by the late American Artist Stephen Sprouse, is now on sale at! The Fashion designer, artist and musician Stephen Sprouse (1953-2004) brought counterculture style to a broader American audience by merging gritty street graffiti with the glamour of high art thus melding pop culture with luxe design and the LV Monogram Roses Collection continues to do the same.

The 4 style collection ranges from $500 (Monogram Roses Accessories Pouchette - above) to $1700+. Like all fine art, the price of the Keepall 50 Roses bag (see left $1780.00 retail) yields a pretty hefty price tag but isn't it all worth it in the name of fashion?

TOP Shoes and Top Shop

Here's just one more reason to check out's gotta be the shoes!

Be sure you're visiting the US site if you're planning to order. The tail/tale sign for all the non-international shoppers will be the use of the $ so you'll know the exact US price for everything. My pick is the Samba Peep Toe (comes in two color ways) for $135! Happy Shoe Shopping!

TOP SHOP in the US...

For all my NYC family I say...Move over H&M, Top Shop has arrived! Last night's New York City opening brought out celebs Kate Moss, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Rosario Dawson who braved the rain to celebrate the first US Top Shop location. The famous Oxford Circle shop attracting thousands of fashion-crazed women everyday has finally taken a bite out of the Big Apple.

When visiting the store, be sure to check out the Limited Edition Kate Moss collection but for those who are not fortune enough to walk thru, never can take advantage of free shipping online for all US orders until April 9th!
