Under $100!!!

I'm feeling a bit like a frugal-ista today so I thought I would share some great items I've found and all for UNDER $100!!! WOO HOO!

For my NYC readers, this trendy yet sexy little top (Premium Sequined Butterfly Top ) is from one of my favorite stores Top Shop! Drop in and grab one!

Another style that's right on trend for the season is what Top Shop calls "the playsuit" aka Big Girl Onesie in denim. Super cute if you have the body for it...be sure about that one ladies before you make the purchase. Biker Denim Play Suit

Now for a cute shoe priced just under one Benjamin Franklin...like .05 cents under! This one is for the Harajuku lovers. Hurry...this color is selling out quickly on zappos.com but you can also snatch an all red or silver pair from endless.com.

Black and white is a hot color combination for the spring/summer season and this strapless dress from AMI Clubwear is definitely easy on the wallet. Only $21.99...what a steal!

If you're a handbag girl like KLE (that's a brand to watch out for in the very near future by the way...) here's one that's just the right price. The fully lined, faux leather, soft studs bag by Urban Expressions is nicely priced at $82.50 and is available on line at southmoonunder.com.

Floral Peeptoe

This is one of the cutest spring/summer shoes I've seen. Nanette Lepore who has had a love of designing since the tender age of 9 and I can relate. At 8, I knew that fashion was my passion for life! Designing clothing, shoes and recently launching a fragrance, Nanette is one of my personal favorites. For the relaunch of her shoe line, here's a look at what you can expect for Spring 2010. The "Secret Love" leather sandals are available at piperlime.com for $355. I love the floral design coupled with the trendy peep-toe, platform look. Simply fab!

Light Up Shoes?

If someone told you that you could have shoes that would light up when you danced, would your first thought be the Dora the Explorer sneakers from Walmart? Initially I thought, No way...but then after seeing the Zap Sandal ($2495) by Jimmy Choo, that thought changed to...Yes way! These 5 inch heels are said to light up when you dance but how do they know you're dancing and not simply walking? Is there a "special dance" you have to do to make 'em work? Seriously...I have no clue. I don't have a pair but I would certainly "cut a rug" (as my Father would say) if I did!

Wardrobe Glam-Up

There are three essential accessories you will need this season to Glam-Up your Wardrobe and if you don't already have them...RUN to the swankiest store you can find in your area and pull out the plastic! CHARGE!

First, you need a sexy, red stiletto. Not only is this the shoe color of the season but the shoe itself will give you legs for days and in this color, they certainly won't be missed! Beyonce "brings it" as usual... on the red carpet of this Macy's event last month introducing her new fragrance "Beyonce Heat". In these shoes, she looks HOT!

Next, you need a glitzy earrings! Whether real gemstones or faux, this statement piece is a definite "must-have". As Kate Beckinsale shows, you won't even need to see the rest of your outfit in the photo to understand that you are the epitome of glam if you're rocking these earbobs (that's my Grandma's terminology for really special earrings). Note to all: Kate's up-swept hairstyle is the best compliment to beautiful, dangly earrings. Don't hid these beauties!

And last but not least, bring back retro glam with a splendidly printed, silk scarf. Sienna Miller works it well with this loose over-the-shoulder, I just-threw-this-together look. Reminds me of Grace Kelly! A scarf like this is sure to glam up almost any outfit.

Like I always say, keep it simple and have one statement piece for each look you put together. Believe me...I know it works! Trust me!

Chic Chains

I'm still a big lover of the clutch bag for parties but one of my newest favorite items is the small, chain handle bag. With so many cute versions to pick from, how can a girl choose?

You can find this sparkling, sexy little number by Kate Spade for around $305 at Endless.com

But she doesn't stop there. If you're not into sequins and glitter, Kate Spade offers up another stand out piece with this silver, quilted bag for $265 available at Saksfifthavenue.com. We love Saks!

Now, if you like the Silver touch but want to have a bit more 80's Rock and Roll feel, try this uniquely designed bag by Rebecca Minkoff available at Saks for $295. This one is so cute that it just screams Studio 54! Time to party!

Speaking Fashionese!

Check out my NEW SHOW! Speaking Fashionese is coming to a URL near you...VERY SOON!

Chuck's New Look

I am in love with these Chucks! This was one of my favorite sneakers as a teenager. I remember loving my supper tall Converse Chuck Taylors that were pink on the outside and I could fold them down to grey on the inside. They were HOT! And these are a "must have". I still sport my red low top Converse every now and again but this new collaboration with Missoni has totally raised the bar. The all white All Stars logo with the Italian label's signature zigzag pattern takes this well known shoe from basic to couture.
Wanna get on the waiting list for this shoe along with approximately 60 other people in line before StyleMayvin? Call Missoni's offices at 212.517.9339. They are expected to arrive at Missoni's NY and LA stores by mid April and will retail at approximately $200.

White Shoe Frenzy!

I am on a serious hunt for white shoes this season and I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of styles I've actually fallen in love with...now I just need that price tag to match my what's in my wallet! These are a few of my favorites in the big search thus far...

The Gucci Clemence Platform Wedge Sandal ($990) tops my list and is of course the most pricey. What can I say...my taste is always luxury however, I'm sure "someone" will make a more affordable version VERY SOON.

Next up... a classic Christian Louboutin, the Fernando Sandals ($925). This one is just basic enough to be worn with almost anything and will most certainly compliment my favorite outfit...White shirt and Jeans. Gotta love it!

No Spring or Summer wardrobe is complete without a cute white flat and this one is perfect! The Irene Snake-Embossed Sandal ($198) by Dolce Vita has incorporated another trend for the season...texture! The snake embossed print adds a "wow factor" to this already stylish shoe.

I'll take all three in a size 9 please! Thanks

Ruffles-Spring 2010 Trend

What's the cutest, most girly, frilly style to sport this spring season! RUFFLES!
I absolutely love this look from the Valentino Spring 2010 Collection. I mean really, what better way to begin to "feel" spring in the air than a short ruffle mini? Well, maybe that's a bit too much "air" for some but it's super cute none the less. I just KNOW I have or had a denim ruffle skirt in my closet somewhere...sure hope I didn't give that one the boot during my last "clearing out" session.

Red Carpet Dazzlers

Congratulations to all of the winners of the Oscar's this year! As usual, many of the gowns were a hit and sadly, a good number of them were a total miss BUT... StyleMayvin keeps it positive and only discusses those who were FAB. With that said, my top three picks for Best Dressed at the Academy Awards are:

#1 Sandra Bullock who wore a beautiful Gold Marchesa gown. I thought she looked lovely...hair, makeup and everything!

My #2 pick is Demi Moore. This Versace dress is simply gorgeous. The soft ruffle is just enough to be glamorous, chic and sexy all rolled into one. Does this woman ever age?

#3...Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan Couture

She hasn't let me down yet. Her stylist has certainly been on point this awards show season. Love this color on her!

Best Dressed Male...simply because he's a knock out was Lenny Kravitz with his daughter Zoe.

Spring 2010 Colors

There are so many soft and beautiful colors you should look out for this Spring! Corals, blues, yellows and reds....oh the return of color! It's all just in time to bring us all out of the Winter Funk. I don't know about you but the continual lack of sunlight, snow that keeps piling up and winds that just won't quit have been a total bummer to me. I truly welcome this springy blast of color. Here are my favorites!

I am completely and totally in love with Blue. It is my favorite color and this Turquoise (Pantone 15-5519) color reminds me of the Caribbean. I'm feeling the need to book a flight right now!

Keeping myself beautifully tanned in the summer is the best and this color is perfect for bronze tinted skin. I love this Fusion Coral (Pantone 16-
1543) Look out for the way Tracey Reese uses this color in her collection.

Violet (Pantone 16-3320) continues to make me smile! It's another great color for Spring 2010 and you always need a red. There's no denying that the Tomato Puree (Pantone 18-1661) is absolutely beautiful and the Rebecca Taylor sketch of the one-shoulder jumpsuit is simply the best! It's a combination to two of my favorite style trends in a eye-catching color. I'll take it!

For a complete look at all of the fabulous Spring 2010 colors, check out Pantone.

Spring Must Haves

One of FNR's favorite stylists, T. Strong, dropped by the studio for a Wardrobe Wednesday Spring preview! T.Strong does it again!
