62nd Emmy's

Here are my top 5 Red Carpet looks for the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards!

In the top spot is Eva Longoria. This gown by Robert Rodriguez is the perfect blend of chic style and classic glamour. The body hugging mermaid design is a perfect look for Eva.

Runner up...Kim Kardashian in an all white goddess gown by Marchesa. Her style team always does a great job with her hair, make up and even the jewels. The cuff bracelet accompanying this beautiful dress is by Lorraine Schwartz.

Third on the list is January Jones. Love this electric blue Versace gown. The only thing I would have done differently is to change the shoes. With a dress this spectacular and a hemline that gives you every opportunity
to show off a fabulous shoe...I think it was a missed opportunity. She still worked the red carpet though...1.5 thumbs up!

Coming in a # 4 is a very funny lady...Tina Fey. I thought she looked absolutely spectacular this nude Oscar de la Renta gown with the most fabulous beading detailed I've seen in a long time. She is perfectly styled! You just can't go wrong with Oscar.

And then we have Anna Paquin bringing up the rear. It seems that the writers over at E! weren't feeling it as much as I did but I think this avant garde black dress with gold armor-like accents was is spot on for the True Blood star. Loved it!

Tori Burch Denim

I've been a fan of Tori Burch since the wave of her cute little ballerina flats with the metal logo on the toe hit NYC a few years. Not did they save my feet as one of the only comfortable shoes in my closet to walk the streets in to work everyday but they were also the most stylish flats of the moment! Now with her usual flair, comfort and totally chic style, Tori does denim.

On the Tori Burch website and at other fine retailers like Bergdorf Goodman online, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom, you can find styles like the "Tomboy" relaxed fit jeans ($225), denim "Trouser" jeans ($195) and one of my personal favorites, the "Biker Legging" with leather panels ($250). With trendy tops and shoe booties like the "Halima" suede boot ($450) to accompany the fab new denim collection, Tori's reign continues! I just can't get enough!

Are you ready for some football?

For all of the fashionable football fans out there who just LOVE their teams so much that they need to dress accordingly while sitting in the living room or neighborhood tavern to check out the game, you will definitely want to be wearing these cool new duds from Old Navy.
Let me be the first to give you a sneak peak at the NFL Collection!
At such great prices ($14.50-$34.50), you can afford to support more than one team...or is that not regulation? Hmmmm...gotta get up on my Football Rules.

Temple St Clair and Target

The fine jewelry designer Temple St Clair will be launching a line of antique-inspired, modern heirlooms at a price every woman can afford at a place, most women love to visit...Target!
On August 29th which is right around the corner, you can own beautifully designed pieces from a designer who produces fine jewels in the $6500 range for approximately $50 or less! And the styles are just as beautiful and have the same Renaissance signature look...she didn't skimp on a single detail.

This designer went from studying art and literature in Florence to running a jewelry line when one of her own personal designs caught the eye of a European Barney's Buyer. In business for 25 years, she's decided like many other designers to do a more mainstream line and take her brand to middle America and I love it! If you can dish out the dough for the Temple St Clair's main collection, it went on sale yesterday on her website. Her favorite? The charms, my favorite? I could actually take them all!

Happy Shopping!

The Beautiful People

Today, I am so happy and peaceful (can't you tell from my photo? LOL) that I wanted to sincerely THANK all of my readers, followers and supporters. I didn't have a particular "fashion focus" to share today but I just couldn't keep my mouth shut...and for those who know me, you know that silence is so not what I do. *smile*

So, with that said, I am grateful to have found the fashion team of my dreams, "The Beautiful People" Team in Joy Randall, Ezekiel Cheney and Johnatha Camp. The event we hosted this past Thursday was a HUGE success (YAAAAY US!) and I never could have done it without them. *Huge Smooches*

To me, fashion is more than just clothing in a store, beautifully designed shoes on my feet, the baubles in my ears or the designer shades I look through...it is and always has been "my life". Simply put, it is very near the air I breathe and I have enjoyed the love affair we have shared since my tender age of 8 years old. Yes, the culture of fashion and the sight of haute' couture is at times, what keeps me going and often what makes me tick! I started StyleMayvin as a way to share my thoughts on fashion with the world and it has and continues to bring me tons of joy. Following the success of The Beautiful People Event I can honestly say as my BFF often does, I am now refreshed, rekindled and renewed! Watch out world...I'm wearing my floor length, Grecian, Calvin Klein gown and I'm not coming, I'm HERE!

Stay In the KNOW...with StyleMayvin. More good things are happening. An awesome giveaway from iMpact Cosmetics is coming soon!!!
