Ride In Style

Recently Martone Cycling Co. partnered with iconic American resort wear brand Lilly Pulitzer to announce a bright and very PINK collaboration.  The classic Martone style-driven city bike has been reimagined in Lilly’s unapologetically bright pink hue and signature hand painted print Scuba to Cuba for a limited-edition creation that transports urbanites and beach dwellers alike into a dreamy, sunny state of mind.

With a desire to create an instantaneous escape, the inspiration for the Martone Cycling Co. x Lilly Pulitzer collaboration draws upon a whimsical melding of two dichotomous worlds: the city and the beach.  For Lilly Pulitzer, Palm Beach is home...a magical playground filled with bright blue skies, endless palm trees, long lunches and poolside parties with close friends.  Mesmerized by the brand’s inimitable artistic prints and spirited DNA, Martone envisioned the collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer as a “creation of a tangible medium, a symbolic bridge, that can unite the beauty of these two seemingly opposite places and transport us to a playful, vacation state of mind.

The limited-edition Martone Cycling Co. x Lilly Pulitzer bike consists of a Women’s (size 50cm) distinctive step-thru design in Lillykir royale pink steel alloy with an exclusive printed saddle, punctuated by Martone’s eponymous red chain and lucite pedals.  The bicycle also boasts Martone’s signature SRAM 2 speed gear system that shifts gears automatically depending on the terrain – making it equally ideal for both city and beach adventures.

Additionally, a posh removable and collapsible basket tailored in the same Lilly Palm Beach print was created to sit within the specially designed alloy basket built into each handle bar.  And who doesn't love a basket attached to their bike? This functional yet fashionable addition doubles as a picnic basket and beach tote, perfect for sandy brunches and poolside afternoons alike.

Bicycles from the Martone Cycling Co. x Lilly Pulitzer collaboration are available now at select Lilly Pulitzer stores across the U.S. including: Palm Beach, New York and King of Prussia.

Peggy Moffitt Activewear Line Launches its Debut Collection

Peggy Moffitt announced today its debut activewear collection. The Los Angeles based company collaborates with famed 60’s supermodel Peggy Moffitt to create a clothing line rooted in the philosophy of freedom, form and function.

Currently available online, the line is inspired by the 60’s styles modeled by Peggy Moffitt as well as current activewear trends. Peggy Moffitt uses supplex and other hi-tech materials to create garments that absorb sweat, lift and define the body.  There are 5 collections within the debut line: Dharma, Freedom, Paris, Grande Prix and Playa.
  • Playa: Also referred to as the mesh collection, Playa’s pieces were designed with the beach in mind. Available in black and white, each piece of the collection features mesh detailing and styles that can be worn from day to night.
  • Grande Prix: Inspired by Formula 1 racecar drivers, Grande Prix features bold color blocked patterns, body contouring waistbands and styling lines. The collection combines high fashion with practical activewear elements.
  • Freedom: The Freedom collection features cuttable black mesh line detail, allowing customers to tailor their yoga pants according to their height or desired hem length.  Giving women the option to cut the length of their yoga pants follows the line’s philosophy of freedom, form and function.
  • Paris: Unlike the other collections, Paris collection consists solely of luxury tee-shirts. Made of silk modal blends, the Paris tee-shirts were made as a luxury layering piece that can be worn to the gym or running errands.
  • Dharma: The Dharma collection is defined by its clear mesh lines, that signify the dharma philosophy, or a clear path in life. The collection features structured pieces as well as sharp color blocking reminiscent of Peggy Moffitt’s iconic style.
With athleisure quickly becoming one of the most popular and lucrative industry trends, Moffit and Arina Gasanova, creative director of Peggy Moffitt, decided it was the perfect time to collaborate on a line that celebrates everything Moffitt stands for: freedom of the body.  “Being a part of this collection is a dream come true. Peggy Moffitt was a fashion pioneer and working with her on a new fashion landscape, athleisure, makes it feel like everything has come full circle,” says Gasanova.

The Peggy Moffitt activewear collection ranges from $33-133 and is available in XS, S, M, L. Hmmm...I think I'd like to try this out. How about you?

Patricia Field Art | Fashion Gallery

This is for all of my readers who are also fashion forward art lovers! If you're in the NY area, this is definitely one event you don't want to miss!

Patricia Field is transforming her website, from an arm of her former brick and mortar store, into an Online Art Fashion gallery.  As curator of, she offers one-of-a-kind Art Fashion pieces both available on the website as well as made-to-order garments custom painted by the artists for both men and women. Exciting right?!? Yes, I know. Thank me later!

To celebrate the new endeavor, Patricia Field will be curating an exhibition of Art/ Fashion at Howl! An Arturo Vega Project in New York City will be open to the public from March 25th - 27th at 6 East 1st Street New York City, NY 10003

A native New Yorker, boutique owner and style innovator, Patricia has worked closely with a who’s-who of young creative visionaries. This includes iconic artists of decades past like Keith Haring and Jean – Michel Basquiat, (who sold painted garments in her famous 8th Street shop), to burgeoning talents of today like Scooter LaForge.  Art has always played an integral role in her world and in her work. Armed with this experience she became acutely aware of a resurgence in creative self-expression that has now taken hold in fashion. Having grown weary and uninspired by the era of 'fast-fashion' and mass production, she understood that style connoisseurs were bucking the trend of homogenization by seeking out one-of-a-kind, artistically-driven designs.
The Patricia Field Art Fashion Gallery was born with its spotlight exhibition at Howl! Happening  with Arturo Vega’s Insults as its backdrop.

Presenting hand chosen artists Scooter Laforge, Suzan Pitt, Jody Morlock, Iris Barbee Bonner, Thomas Knight, Suzanne Mallouk and Kyle Brincefield the gallery invites the viewer to explore made to order pieces, that have already attracted fans like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and Madonna, and can be delivered world-wide.

Got Bra-Blems?

Statistics tell us that most women are wearing the wrong bra size and if you're reading this, (pausing to look down at your boobs) then's highly likely that you're one of them. So what's a girl to do? First, go to a very knowledgable bra fitter (ie. a Bra Whisperer) and find out what size you should actually be wearing. It is likely that you will find one of these very professional woman at a Nordstrom or Bloomingdales departments least that's been my experience but I'm sure there are many more out there. Then, once that task is complete, go in search of your perfect bra and remember that every good outfit starts with the foundations.

Let's get serious...some of you may already look like this in your un-mentionables, but for those of us who do not...don't ya want to? Why not?!?

Believe me, I know it can be super frustrating having bra-blems. And I think all of us women can agree that these issues can make you want to rip off your bra the moment you walk in the door at the end of a long day! That used to be me. But now I'm completely comfortable in my bras. Guess what? You can be too with a few simple and easy fixes provided by and shop their collection HERE.

Take a look at this and let's see how much you know, smarty pants bra lady.
Hope that helps! Happy bra shopping!

My newest obsession? Les Copains. And this show has been one of Milan Fashion Week's best!

Designed by Stefania Bandiera, the FW16 offerings from Les Copains’ Milan Fashion Week runway show plays off of inspirations from the 1940s in a myriad of mixed materials. The Italian house’s signature knitwear was shown with hints or organza and lace, creating an overall tailored approach that straddles both masculinity and femininity. Sophisticated black silhouettes were accented with blush, nudes and greens to create a dreamlike collection.

I loved it! Here's why...

Let's Get Jazz-y!

As the weather starts to break and Spring is just around the corner, fashion begins to change. I know I can't be the only one who wants to pack away the boots but knows that it's definitely not yet the time to break out the sandals right? So what's a girl to do? Well...I turn to one of my absolute favorite  brands (for any season), J/Slides.
My readers know ALL about them because I've turned to them many times before but in this fashion moment in time when atheleisure is THE buzz word across the industry, I knew they would have exactly what I needed. And I was right (as per usual)... the Jazz is the perfect transitional shoe from winter to spring.

Why do I love this shoe so much? Let me count the ways:
  1. They're available in black. Every stylish New Yorker sees this color as pretty much the only color in existence and why not? Black can be paired with anything. Black is the new black.
  2. They're stylish! Going back to the athleisure conversation...these shoes are the perfect mix of comfort, style and trend.
  3. Since they're made of leather, they will keep your feet warm even on those days when mother nature teased us with warm weather one day and frigid temps the next. She's pretty fickle like that... Why not be prepared?
  4. The design of the shoe is so functional that you can rock them with a dress (like I did), with jeans or with pretty much whatever you like. See how I did that?

There are certainly more reasons to love this shoe but I'll let you come up with a few of your own. Hey...why shouldn't you be able to flaunt your individual style rocking one of my favs? There's no good reason I can come up with! Who's ready to SHOP?
